Our Origins and Mission
Here at APEX LABS, we strive for ethical scientific study and beneficial research.
We began our research as a humble paleontology lab. We identified and assembled skeletons, studied evolution theories, and pioneered modern paleo-art.
Very recently, esteemed geneticist Dr. Raynfall recruited APEX LABS to a special project- recreating dinosaurs from their base genes (yes, like the movies).
Unfortunately, we did not have enough DNA from the original specimens to create a viable embryo. Dr. Raynfall herself stepped in with a theory of her own- using draconic DNA. She took her own DNA samples, leaving it up to APEX LABS to give the project an "all-clear." After much debate, our team came up with our CODE.
The CODE
-ALL draconic DNA samples must be given with informed consent, under full knowledge of what the samples will be used for.
-SHOULD any Donor withdraw consent, any genetic material of theirs will be completely destroyed, unless it is part of a subject.
-SHOULD any subject live, possessing higher intelligence or not, they will be treated with respect and care.
-ALL subjects will be raised by a Caretaker in place of biological parents.(DNA Donors may apply to a Caretaker position).
-ANY major decisions (subject creation, or additional parts of the CODE, for example) must be agreed upon by a majority vote of APEX LABS staff.
-ANY individual, regardless of status, found to be in violation of the CODE will be removed from their position and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Our subjects are engineered to be as functional as possible, while enabling us to study the genetics of prehistoric creatures in play.

Rules
- You need to ask to create a character involved with this project. Post your application on Clay's message wall.
- You need to provide a name, description, and brief backstory at minimum. More content is recommended for higher-ranking characters such as Head Scientists or Caretakers.
- Subjects can be 16 or younger- the project is relatively new.
- You can have only ONE type of prehistoric DNA in your character. Keep the dragon DNA to canon tribes, Pyrrhian or Pantalan.
- Multiple subjects can have the same or similar DNA, but variation is encouraged. If there are too many pterosaurs, for example, your idea may be turned down.
- No animus powers among subjects.
- ANY applications can be turned down, for whatever reason.
