Prologue[]
A NightWing hid in a cave by the sea, the silver scales by his eyes sparkling in the moonlight. The waves crashed against the rocks like thunder. He sat, waiting patiently.
As he sat, a cream figure appeared in the sky, accompanied by two others: one red, one a deep blue.
The dragons spiraled down and landed in the cave.
"Obscure, you came. I thought you'd die on the way here," sneered a feminine voice. "What is it you need to tell me so desperately?"
"Down, you know that I wouldn't have called you out here if it wasn't urgent," said the ageing NightWing.
"Get on with it," snapped Down, ruffling her cream feathers. Obscure took a deep breath.
"Rulers of a darkened sky,
Watchers of a clouded moon,
Terrors of a flooded sea,
Guardians of a scorched land,
They will come to destroy,
But the Four will stop them,
When time is at it's end,
But the Four are not here,
In eggs they hide,
Waiting till the darkest hour,
but where are the eggs where they reside?,
The First of Four's egg,
Found in the Highest part of Sky,
The Second of Four's egg,
Found in a Shadow's end,
The Third of Four's egg,
Found in a lake's deepest niche,
The Final of Four's egg,
Found in the smallest tree,
When fate is ready they will meet,
And stop the darkness and defeat.
The Four Will Rise..."
"A prophecy? We haven't had one of those in ages," commented Down. "When was this delivered?"
"Mere hours ago," said Obscure. "The one who delivered it is dead."
"Dead?" asked the AviWing. "Was it...them?" Genuine fear was slowly creeping into her voice.
"Yes, it was the Ruby Society," Obscure confirmed. "They are growing more powerful by the day."
"Well, then...we can only hope that these four dragons can save us," sighed Down. "Redfeather, Navy. Search the lands for these dragonets. We need to find them."
And with that, the three dragons flew off, each in a different direction.
