"I mean, It’s the usual story, isn’t it? The savvy, educated young princess deemed repulsive by the wheezing, wrinkled, ulcer-riddled man twenty-four years her senior! Rejection, REJECTION from a king! How can aNYoNe overcome the fate as devastating than being forced to move into a RESPLENDENT palace in Richmond, with more money that I could ever spend in a lifetime?! And not a single man around to tell me what to do with it! I mean, seriously! Just…

CLEVE |
Sittin' here all alone, on a throne
In a palace that I happen to own
- is a bad witch B) but replace the w with a b
- Isn't an actual witch and was never accused of that or of anything relating to witchcraft in general
- That was the other Anne
- Mainly red but with gold accents and hints of black as her colour scheme
- spiky thingies on her head because why not?
- Also possibly a hood?
Not very prim and proper
Can't make me stop :smirk:
- uhhh wait how do i put history in here-
- okay how about the SkyWing kingdom used to divided into smaller kingdoms?
- yeah, that sounds good. so Cleve's family was from one of the smaller kingdoms
- Was set to marry the king of a P O W E R F U L kingdom after the previous queen died from—natural causes?! WHOA GASP NO ONE KILLED HER SHE HAD NO DAUGHTERS TO KILL HER SHE JUST DIED
- I mean, she died after her son hatched, but everyone knows that SONS can't get the throne
- Plus there was already a king on the throne. Since. you know. Dead queen and no heirs.
You, you said that I tricked ya~
Cause I, I didn't look like my profile picture
- Dang so all the royal SkyWing advisors were like "sire, we should think about finding you a mate—" but this guy was like "NO. UGLY, UGLY, UGLY, AND UGLY."
- Until he was shown a portrait of Cleve! and then he went "jaaaa <3"
- Except after she travelled to the palace and he saw her he was like...."naaaa </3"
- What he said was that she was actually really, really butt-ugly irl and that the portrait artist made an inaccurate portrait of her
- What his advisors said was that he had visited the room Cleve was staying in at the palace, but he had visited it by sneaking in while disguised as a peasant, and she had reacted quite negatively to his presence. bc. well. She was engaged? Set to marry? Someone who was obviously NOT a peasant so wtfrick how did this random sick peasant get into my room at the palace and oh no oh no why is he cuddling up to me UGH AGH THIS IS HORRIBLE
Too bad I don't agree
So I'm gonna hang it up for everyone to see
- so...idk, no marriage? Cleve was just told to get out.
- She was given a nice fancy castle as compensation for the annulment of the marriage tho
- And honestly? She wasn't complaining. She had no idea what type of dragon the king was, and after meeting him she was super relieved that the marriage had been cancelled
- So yeah, she got out and then she got down B)
- Had a relative degree of independence that other noblewomen didn't have and took advantage of that
- Playing cards, hunting, attending extravagant parties—anything fun she wanted to do, she did
And you CAN'T! STOP! ME!
Cause I'm the Queen of the castle, get DOWN you dirty rascal~!
- Easy-going and gregarious, but also very trustworthy
- Nice lady
- Kept in touch with the royal family! Saved the scales of the king's kids several times
- whenever they king introduced her to anyone he would be like, "ah, yes! This is Cleve, my, uh, my sister. Sister. Yeah, sister!" because it was weird being like "This is Cleve, the dragon I was going to marry but I made a fool of myself by harassing her and so I was too embarrassed to go through with the marriage, but we stayed buds, ya'know? We're on friendly terms with each other, despite the fact that our first meeting consisted of me getting all close and personal and up in her face."
Cleve is based of of Anna of Cleves from the musical SIX, but also from the real Anne of Cleves, who the musical Anna was based off of. Coding done by me with lots of help from Himmalerin's many coding guides! And also this new coding guide that's popped up on the wiki at some point? When did it get here? Anyhoo, yeah!
